The city is all set to celebrate 63rd Republic Day on Thursday. The official programme will begin at Nehru Stadium around 9 am where industries minister Kailash Vijayvergiya will be the chief guest. The parade will begin from 9 am. Eight tableaus will be taken out by different government departments to mark the day out of which three will be from Indore Municipal Corporation.
On the occasion, the district administration will felicitate Bal Vivah Virodhi Udandasta, a volunteer organisation working for prevention of child marriages. The team which will perform best in the parade will also be awarded. Government officials who have excelled in their work too will be felicitated on the occasion.
The administration has made available pick and drop facilities for the freedom fighters coming to the venue. The buses will be available to them from 11 places that include Gandhi Hall, Sudama Nagar, Patrakar Colony square, Chhavni Square, Chimanbagh square, Marimata, Pardeshipura square, Patnipura square and others.
